Where Are They Now?

Jonathan started as a PGY-1 Resident with Lumicera in 2023 and has now moved into the PGY-2 Residency Program. His experience in the PGY-1 program included patient consults, order verification, Navitus client engagement, project management, helping update the pharmacy workflow and adverse effect notification.
The operational knowledge and personal skills he learned as a PGY-1 Resident are helping him in his new role enabling him to contribute to upcoming strategic initiatives and speak with PBM clients and external industry partners. In addition to all of this, Jonathan also acts as a precept for a fourth-year UW-Madison Pharmacy Student.

After residency, Georgina accepted a position as a Clinical Product Manager in Lumicera’s Business Development department, where she will continue her PGY-2 Residency focus to monitor the specialty pipeline for novel therapies, while promoting cost saving opportunities. She is also actively involved in Lumicera strategic initiatives assisting with the implementation of several new line of business.
Additionally, Georgina is a fourth-year pharmacy student preceptor for Pittsburg University. Georgina is a graduate of the School of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, Egypt.

Amanda is currently Manager of Experiential Learning programs which includes coordinating our Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPE), supervising our clinical intern staff and PGY-1 Residency Program Coordinator. Additionally, she serves as Chair of Lumicera’s accredited Oncology Center of Excellence.
Amanda has an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene (practiced for 12 years), Bachelors in Liberal Arts from Winona State University, and PharmD from UW-Madison School of Pharmacy.

Miranda is currently a Clinical Consultation Pharmacist at Lumicera where she performs traditional pharmacy tasks including initial prescription verification, clarification and screening, patient counseling. She has also been leading the biosimilar clinician team and assisting with the development of the biosimilar transition process and patient education.
Additionally, Miranda acts residency preceptor for the Inflammatory Rotation and Clinical Operations rotation as well as a University of Wisconsin fourth-year pharmacy student preceptor.

“Since Residency, I accepted a full-time position at Navitus Health Solutions as the Clinical Product Manager with the Innovative Pharmacy Programs Team. In this role, I lead the process in maintaining and improving the clinical and operational needs of the products that I manage. I manage 2 specialty programs that help plans lower the cost of their specialty spend, while helping members save on their specialty medications.“

“I am currently the PGY-2 Medication-Use Safety and Policy pharmacy resident at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Some of the experiences I have been involved in are investigating medication error reports and determining required follow-up actions, conducting various research projects and quality improvement projects, participating in regulatory and accreditation rounds, and providing chemotherapy education to patients.“
